In August 2016, Helen Emsley was named Executive Director, Global Buick and GMC Design, which was an expansion of her role as Executive Director of Design for Global GMC and User Experience, a position she held since 2013.

As the champion of both the Buick and GMC brands, Emsley provides strategic design guidance and day-to-day leadership to the exterior and interior studios. Most recently, she and her team helped launch the much anticipated 2019 GMC Sierra.

When she is not working, Helen finds inspiration being mom.  She has brought many learnings from her adventures traveling with her son, Connor, who loves technology.   He has provided many insights into features that she has demanded be included in her vehicles for families.

Helen and her husband, Dave, enjoy restoring their historic 1920s home, music, travel, and reading.
